Hello! Microanimism is me, Siv Watkins - the founder, creator, and day-to-day operations person. Microanimism has been my labor of love since 2016, and it’s certainly not a money-making exercise. Surprisingly, there’s not a lot of money in esoteric microbiology. Over the last ten years there have been periods when I have had to put Microanimism down for a few months at a time to focus on generating income, which is always a bummer when it happens. Nowadays, I have stable income as a college professor at a community college. I love my job, but I have a very high teaching load during the semester, so my output with Microanimism is limited to, mostly, the summer break. My teaching salary is not huge, although I am lucky to have health insurance and a pension. I am proudly working-class and the faculty at my college are unionized, which is amazing. All this said, if you have received enjoyment or enlightenment from my work and you would like to support it practically, it would make a big difference to my life as I continue to spread the good work about the smalls.
